THE PLOT
Amused by Hebden Bridge, I decided to record emotions and places on my phone taking a sort of sound pictures of particular moments so that I could keep them with me like photographs, memories, stolen kisses. I tapped rec, named those waves and I packed my bag ready to puff away back to London.

THE WHAT?
Now, I was actually copying what one of my characters does in a book. Victoria collects audio portraits, something like: Sunday Sunset, Moonlight Shadow and, of course, Vibes of the Darkness of my Room on a Soon-to-Be Sunny Morning of December. If it sounds silly to you I say fair enough. To me, it sounded odd enough to be romantic. Simple enough to seem silly, total nonsense. That’s why I told myself, why don’t you try it yourself, in real life, you fool?
So I tried.

THE FRAUD
And then I chickened out and I thought, maybe (maybe) releasing the raw version of these (just like Victoria) would be a little too extreme so one night I wrote some music on top of that original idea and eventually came up with a sort of EP I'd like to call:

Hebden Bridge - A Sound Portrait.

It's a good compromise, I think, between minutes of nothingness and more elaborate nothingness.
